Postdoctoral position – Climate-smart indicators of rewilding dynamics (1 Nov. 2023 – )

German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) Halle-Jena-Leipzig, Germany

Climate-smart rewilding aims at addressing the twin threats of climate change and biodiversity loss, I am currently developping quantitative indicators to characterise rewilding contexts and outcomes under the climate-smart framework of the wildE project

PhD in Environmental Geography (8 Oct. 2018 – 5 Jan. 2023)

Laboratory of physical and environmental Geography, Université Clermont Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand, France

  • Land-use and land-cover changes mapping
  • Agricultural abandonment and old fields under vegetation succession characterization
  • Social evaluation of ecosystem services and disservices associated to old fields through semi-structured interviews and surveys
  • Ecological evaluation of ecosystem services change induced by agricultural abandonment and vegetation succession (carbon stock, soil fertility and erosion prevention) through field samplings

Research internship on the implications of ecological restoration for biodiversity offsetting (8 Jan. – 21 Aug. 2018)

Centre for Ecology and conservation sciences, National Museum of Natural History, Paris, France

Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food and Environmental Sciences, Paris, France

  • Analysis of biodiversity offsetting in development projects
  • Evaluation of projects impacts and offsetting measures restoration potential

Research internship on the vegetation dynamic of restored riverbanks (3 Jan. – 30 June 2017)

National Institute of Agricultural and environmental Research (INRAe), Grenoble, France

  • Seed identification and vegetation surveys for riverbanks restoration evaluation
  • Testing of restoration methods in experimental set-up

Research internship on the effects of nutrient enrichment on aquatic communities (25 April – 10 June 2016)

Institute of ecology and environmental sciences of Paris, Paris, France

  • Macrocosms’ phytoplankton and zooplankton communities’ identification
  • Analysis of phytoplankton and zooplankton communities’ temporal dynamics
